Marrying in the museum PDF

The Northern Maritime Museum is ‘housed’ in two monumental buildings at the Brugstraat in the centre of Groningen. These were built in the 14th century, during the blooming Hanseatic period in the Middle Ages.
Throughout the years both buildings have frequently been changed and adapted  As a result of these changes over time a lot of building elements from different time periods can be found.
The buildings are called ‘the Gothic House’ and ‘the Canterhouse’ and together with the historical courtyard they are very photogenic. In the courtyard you’ll find the historic barge ‘the Alida’.

Yellow Roomgrotezaal_k
For weddings we have the Yellow Room available. This is a room in 18th century style.
It has room for about 50 persons and can be tastefully decorated for the occasion.
We will gladly make an appointment with you to talk about the different possibilities and to make a reservation.
